Questions people ask before they upload

How many photos can I upload?
Between 20 and 200 per book. Under 40 makes a thin book, so we will tell you.
Which formats work?
JPG, PNG, HEIC and WEBP, up to 25 MB each. Videos, GIFs and RAW files are skipped and we tell you which ones.
Do I have to choose the photos myself?
No. Upload everything. Doubles, near-doubles and blurry shots are removed, and the strongest photos of each moment are kept.
Do I need an account?
Not to build and preview a book. You create one when you order, so the book stays yours.
Can I change the book?
Yes. Reorder pages, swap photos, change a layout, edit captions and chapter titles. Most people change very little.
What about the people in my photos?
After the book is built, you can name the people and pets we found, and captions use those names. Names stay in your book and nowhere else.
Where are my photos stored?
Encrypted on Amazon Web Services. They are never public, never shared, and never used to train anything.
How long do you keep them?
Originals are deleted 90 days after your last order or last visit. We email you a week before. Your book itself stays in your account.
What does it cost?
Building and previewing is free. You pay once, for the PDF or for the printed book. Prices are shown before you order.
Who prints the book?
Lulu, a print partner that ships worldwide. Your book is printed on demand, so nothing is wasted.
How long does it take?
Building takes a few minutes. Printed books usually arrive within two to three weeks, depending on where you are.
Can I get a refund?
A printed book can be cancelled until it goes to print. A PDF cannot be refunded once downloaded.
Is it available in my language?
English, French and Spanish, for the site and for the book's captions.
Can I upload photos of my children?
Yes, if you are an adult and have the right to use them. Pictomemo is for people 18 and over.
